My Journey
Hello! Namaste!
I am Pallavi Shrestha (Polly) (She/Her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I am currently receiving clinical supervision from B. Laurenco, MA, LMHC (License # LH 61021467). You can learn more about my supervisor [here].
As a person of color in a predominantly White profession, I feel both courageous and hopeful as a therapist of color. Drawing from my lived experience as a first-generation American/Canadian, I work through an anti-oppression lens, creating a safe, empathetic, and judgment-free space for marginalized communities and individuals of all genders, sexualities, and ethnicities.
I am passionate about helping children, youths, adults, families, and couples navigate the complexities of their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. With several years of experience in community mental health and online/mobile therapy, I have had the privilege of working with diverse clients, each presenting unique stories and challenges.
My approach is compassionate, personalized, and aimed at fostering resilience and growth in every individual I work with. Having lived in different countries and being multilingual, I bring a diverse perspective to my practice. I am committed to making a meaningful difference in your life.
My Philosophy
At Finding Wellness Therapy, I embrace the motto “Live and Let Live,” inviting you to come as you are into a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space. Individuals of all genders and sexual orientations are welcome here. Your story matters. It is significant, and you deserve to be heard with unconditional positive regard.
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with your day-to-day life, I encourage you to reach out today by phone or email. Let us embark on this therapeutic journey together.
I understand that seeking therapy can feel strange and uncomfortable, and it is okay to experience those feelings. Acknowledging them is an important step, and gently moving forward is the beginning of healing.
As a therapist, my goal is to serve as a compass, guiding you toward the direction you desire.
